Venue: The Tabernacle – Atlanta, GA

Music Midtown, an annual four-day music festival in downtown Atlanta, held a media event to promote the upcoming festival and announce the performing artists. The projection I provided was two double stacked Christie L8 projectors flown on a downstage truss and projected on a 30’ x 40’ upstage scrim.

We also hung five weather balloons from the ceiling and projected images on them using five additional projectors. The video sources were video playback of the announced artist, event logos, and B-roll footage of past events. The result was very effective, especially the projected B-roll footage on the weather balloons.
